Twenty-one faculty members with diverse backgrounds and expertise have joined the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ faculty over the past several months.
More than half of the new faculty completed fellowships, residencies, medical or doctoral degrees at the University at Buffalo.
The new faculty are as follows:
Ryan K. Breuer, MD, is a clinical assistant professor who specializes in pediatric critical care medicine.
Breuer comes to UB from Duke Children's Hospital, where he completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care.
Valerie D. Elberson, MD, is a clinical assistant professor who specializes in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
Elberson completed the UB fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine.
Bree C. Kramer, DO, is a clinical assistant professor who specializes in pediatric critical care medicine.
Kramer completed the UB fellowship in pediatric critical care. She also completed the UB pediatrics residency.
Jennifer A. Argentieri, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Argentieri completed the UB fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine, and she earned her medical degree at UB.
Lynda M. Beaupin, MD, is an assistant professor.
Beaupin completed UB’s pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship and pediatrics residency.
Denise A. Rokitka, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Rokitka completed her pediatrics residency at UB.
Shipra Singh, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Singh comes to UB from Baylor College of Medicine, where she completed a fellowship in pediatric pulmonology.
Scott T. Doyle, PhD, is an assistant professor who specializes in developing computerized methods to quantify and analyze large medical imaging datasets.
Doyle is focused on building a teaching and research program that introduces medical and engineering students to pattern classification approaches that they can apply to clinical problems. He was formerly the director of research at Ibris, Inc.
Nora K. Frisch, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Frisch comes to UB from Wayne State University, where she completed a fellowship in cytopathology.
Nan Zhang, MD, PhD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Zhang comes to UB from City of Hope National Medical Center, where she was a hematopathology fellow. Zhang completed a UB residency.
David M. Zlotnick, MD, is a clinical assistant professor who specializes in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Zlotnick comes to UB from the Ochsner Clinic Foundation, where he completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular intervention.
Jaclyn M. Schneider, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Schneider completed UB’s hospice and palliative medicine fellowship.
Saurabh Malhotra, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Malhotra comes to UB from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Heart and Vascular Institute, where he was a clinical instructor.
Sarah Holstein, MD, PhD, is an assistant professor.
Angelle A. Brebnor, MD, is a clinical assistant professor.
Brebnor completed UB’s obstetrics and gynecology residency.
Thomas W. Croucher, MD, is a clinical instructor.
Khalid S. Kakish, MD, is an clinical assistant professor with expertise in pediatric neurology.
Kakish comes to UB from Baylor College of Medicine, where he was a fellow in child neurology.
Joshna Singh, MBBS, is a clinical assistant professor who completed UB’s psychiatry residency.
