Membership

The Child and Maternal Health Research Institute (CMHRI) is powered by a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of faculty, clinicians, scientists, educators, and administrators whose collective expertise spans every corner of pediatric and maternal health. Our members bring together diverse talents in basic science, clinical research, population health, genetics, behavioral medicine, engineering, data science and health equity. From laboratory discovery to community-based partnerships, they embody a shared commitment to innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of equitable health outcomes for mothers, children and families locally and around the world.

Membership Expectations

CMHRI members are committed to advancing the Institute’s mission through active engagement in research, education, and community collaboration. Members are expected to participate in all three pillars of the Institute :

  • Research - Pursue research that aligns with CMHRI’s core focus on maternal and child health and involves work on one of our research focus areas.
  • Community Outreach - Participate in  one of our existing community partnerships or establish new collaborations to enhance community impact.
  • Education - Contribute to educational programming through mentoring, teaching, or the development of new training opportunities for students, fellows or early-career investigators.

Together, these contributions ensure that the CMHRI remains a vibrant, collaborative hub for discovery, learning and meaningful community engagement.
