The CMHRI promotes the training of our young investigators through our Research Seminar Series

Customized Research Training Opportunity

The CMHRI Research Seminar Series brings together investigators, trainees, and clinical partners to advance child and maternal health research across UB and our affiliated institutions. Our monthly sessions feature a distinguished keynote speaker whose expertise highlights emerging science, innovation, and best practices in basic, translational and/or clinical research. The series also includes Work-in-Progress (WIP) presentations, offering residents, fellows, and junior faculty a supportive forum to share developing projects, receive constructive feedback, and strengthen their scholarly trajectory.

Designed to cultivate the next generation of child and maternal health investigators, the seminar series integrates targeted research training for medical students, residents, fellows, and early-career faculty. Through interactive discussions, mentorship engagement, and skill-building opportunities, participants deepen their understanding of research methods, scientific communication, and career development.
