Division chief Richard J. Quigg Jr., MD, has research interests including clinical informatics, experimental models of renal disease and pathobiology of the complement system.

We are committed to furthering the field of nephrology and are known for our leading-edge research, world-class faculty, excellent training opportunities and compassionate patient care. 

We take pride in the fellow, resident and medical student training we provide. Through robust curriculum and personalized mentoring in diverse training environments, we prepare tomorrow’s physicians to be knowledgeable, forward-thinking professionals.

Our research activities cover a broad range of topics in renal physiology and nephrology. We focus our ongoing research efforts on developing novel therapeutic strategies that will lead to treatment advances for patients with hypertension and kidney conditions. This focus enables us to provide our patients with the best treatments possible. 

We provide comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of renal conditions at our affiliated teaching hospitals and health care centers.
