Clinics

Ishwor Sharma, MD; Rodica Nastasie, MD.

We serve patients at facilities and clinics throughout Buffalo. “These clinical settings are places that enable us to help patients, and they’re also significant training spaces for fellows,” says fellow Ishwor Sharma, MD, here with fellow Rodica Nastasie, MD.

Members of our division work in a nationally renowned renal care center and clinics that provide state-of-the-art treatment for patients with a range of kidney conditions and cancers.

Regional Center of Excellence for Transplantation and Kidney Care

  • vascular access surgical care
  • hemodialysis for outpatients and inpatients

UBMD Med/Peds Renal Oncology Clinic

At the UBMD Med/Peds Renal Oncology Clinic, we are knowledgeable about the most effective kidney-related therapies for cancer patients.

We offer attentive, patient-centered care for individuals who have developed renal complications as a result of cancer and its treatments. We see adult patients with all types of cancer, and we treat complications including acute and chronic kidney disease and fluid and electrolyte abnormalities.

Our expert clinicians are familiar with chemotherapy drugs that damage the glomerulus, renal tubules, interstitium and microvasculature. We are experienced in treating mild to potentially fatal adverse chemotherapy-related nephrotoxicity.
