Here’s What You Can Do After You’re Fully Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Prevention quoted Thomas A. Russo, MD, professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, in a story on when people can consider themselves fully vaccinated. Full vaccination is two weeks after the second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. However, he said, people who get the Johnson & Johnson vaccine should wait a total of four weeks after their shot because studies show that is when the majority of people, regardless of age, develop sufficient antibodies. He said: “I tell patients (who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) that they should wait at least four weeks (to see people without a mask) at this point.” Versions of the story were published in numerous media outlets.
