Russo, MD, SUNY Distinguished Professor of medicine and chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases in the Jacobs School, commented for a story carried by MSN and Yahoo!Lifestyle about the CDC’s updated guidance on face coverings meant to curb the spread of COVID-19, and the difference between KN95 and N95 masks. “KN95 masks are the Chinese version of N95 masks, explained Russo. “These are certified by the Chinese government and also filter out up to 95% of aerosols.”
