Canty Jr., MD — an attending cardiologist at the Buffalo VA Medical Center, SUNY Distinguished Professor and Albert and Elizabeth Rekate Professor of Medicine — has been awarded a $650,000 merit review grant from the Veterans Health Administration to explore why people die from ventricular fibrillation (VF) as the only manifestation of heart disease.
