OB/GYN Interest Group

The OB/GYN Interest Group is a student-run group providing activities that furnish students with a greater understanding of the vast and exciting field of obstetrics and gynecology.

Yearly activities include a question-and-answer session with general obstetricians and gynecologists outlining a day-in-the-life of an OB-GYN.

The group also conducts a procedure lab where students have the opportunity to participate in:

  • simulated vaginal deliveries
  • IUD placements
  • knot tying
  • pelvic exams
  • suturing

A panel discussion with subspecialists in OB-GYN is held to enlighten students of the myriad of opportunities that a career in OB-GYN can offer.
