The Division of Nephrology provides comprehensive care to all infants, children and adolescents with kidney disease who live in Western New York and northern Pennsylvania.
All faculty members in our division are board-certified in pediatric nephrology. As such, they provide leadership in medical education and in basic science and clinical research. Our division serves as a training program for medical students, residents and nephrology fellows.
Current research focuses on renal impairment in the overweight, along with strategies to reverse it.
Our qualified and diverse staff provides comprehensive care to infants, children and adolescents with kidney disease who live in Western New York and Northern Pennsylvania through the Oishei Children's Hospital Kidney Center. This includes hypertension, cystic disease of the kidney, urinary tract infections, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) for critically ill children.
