Notify Program if Accepted into Medical School

If you receive an admission offer to medical school prior to commencement of the 2026 Summer Enrichment Session and decide not to attend the Post-Baccalaureate Program, you must notify the Post-Baccalaureate Program immediately. Please email Sharon Bowman or call 716-829-2812. It is extremely important that we notify your referral medical school of your available seat in their class and also cancel your enrollment with the University at Buffalo.

Summer Session Begins (July 8 - August 7)

Summer coursework will consist of basic science introduction and/or reviews and is non-credit bearing. These courses are for diagnostic purposes only, intended to gauge your level of knowledge in these subject areas. You will not be formally registered in these classes and the grades will not appear on a transcript. You will not need to purchase textbooks for the summer courses; however, you may want to utilize relatable textbooks you may already have as a reference.

Classes will be held Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Jacobs School (Downtown Campus). Please plan to bring a laptop to use in class. If you don’t have a laptop, please email Sharon Bowman, Administrative Assistant in advance to let us know.

Off-Campus Housing for Post-Baccalaureate Academic Year

You will reside in Greiner Hall in a suite-style dorm with roommates (each suite has two 2-person bedrooms) from July 5 or 6 through August 1. You will need to secure off-campus housing for the period Aug. 1, 2026 through May 2027. The Post-Baccalaureate Program does not have a sponsored housing complex. You should begin searching for rental opportunities before your arrival; you can also make appointments with potential rental properties before you arrive.

Please be advised that you do not need to have a lease signed BEFORE your arrival to Buffalo. Many students prefer to tour apartments before signing a lease. Additionally, the summer session is a good time to make friends and potential roommates to sign multi-bedroom leases to alleviate the cost of living.

Listed below are some student apartment complexes located close to the University’s campuses to help with your search. We recommend finding a rental option with utilities included.
