The Behling Human Simulation Center is an 12,000 square foot facility in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences building. Our facility offers:
- Eight flexible clinical rooms. Each room can be transformed to meet the needs of nearly any environment:
- external environment street scene or park
- emergency department
- in-patient hospital room
- intensive care unit
- operating room
- out-patient clinic office
- dental office
- triage unit
- active learning setup
- additional debriefing room
- objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) room
- Dedicated surgical/anesthesia operating room.
- Home care room.
- Two central patient care stations, located at each end of the facility, simulating two different wards of a health care center.
- Pharmacy office.
- Two control rooms.
- Large reception and administrative area.
- Locker room.
- Four debriefing rooms.
- Access to two larger 30 person educational rooms.
- Green room for participating staff, facilitators, guests.
The center is available to the students from all five health science schools, School of Social Work, Law School and School of Management as well as external entities.
