Professional Summary:

I am a fellowship-trained pediatric rehabilitation medicine physician (also known as a pediatric physiatrist). My practice focuses on optimizing the health and function of children with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and musculoskeletal disorders.

I enjoy employing an interdisciplinary approach for the management of various conditions with spasticity and/or dystonia. This ranges anywhere to conservative measures like bracing and medications to more aggressive measures like botulinum toxin injections or collaborating with our neurosurgical colleagues for intrathecal baclofen pumps or a selective dorsal rhizotomy surgery. Each patient is unique and deserves a customized plan that works for them and their family.

My other passion is pediatric non-operative orthopedics – I’ve always been interested in the many different areas that make up musculoskeletal medicine and my goal has always been to be a well-versed pediatric musculoskeletal physician. I utilized my elective times through residency and fellowship to rotate through extra disciplines like sports medicine, orthopedics, and rheumatology to expand my skill set. As such, my patient population will range from an acute sports medicine injury, a chronic long-standing musculoskeletal injury, or a child with a congenital orthopedic condition.

On that same note, I’m always looking to optimize the adaptive sports component of my practice and enjoy making sure that children and adolescents of all abilities can safely get involved or back to activities they enjoy.

I have two primary clinics - both located in the Conventus Building next to John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. One being The Robert Warner Center for Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation and the other at Tim Hortons Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Center. I work in multiple multidisciplinary clinics which includes our Spina Bifida Program, Muscular Dystrophy Clinic, and Spasticity Clinic. I also do inpatient consults for the PM&R service at our level I trauma center, Oishei Children’s Hospital.
