Three faculty members with varied research and clinical expertise have joined the school’s faculty during the past several months.
New faculty include:
Pinaki Sarder, PhD, assistant professor, was a postdoctoral fellow in optical radiology at Washington University in St. Louis.
His research focuses on quantitative biomedical image processing and analysis. He is interested in developing biomedical software and instruments, such as hand-held devices, for noninvasive microscopic and tomographic optical imaging.
Diana A. Moya MD, clinical assistant professor, specializes in pediatric gastroenterology. She has published studies on paraoxonase-1 and oxidative stress — as well as a novel pathway for iron deficiency — in pediatric non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.
Trupti Patil, MD, specializes in infectious diseases. The clinical assistant professor is a visiting physician at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
