Six faculty members with a variety of clinical and research experience — representing five medical school departments — have joined the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences over the past several months.
Shilpa M. Chowdhry, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine.
She completed a geriatrics fellowship and a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at UB and an internal medicine residency at Boston University Medical Center.
She earned her medical degree from New York University Grossman School of Medicine.
Suzanne Mone, MD, is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics in the Division of Cardiology.
She completed fellowships in pediatric cardiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.
She completed a residency at Golisano Children’s Hospital.
She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine.
Stacey A. Akers, MD, is a clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology.
Ivan W. Cohen, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of anesthesiology.
Victoria L. Jaynes-Fuller, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics. She completed a pediatrics residency at the University of Rochester and earned her medical degree from UB.
Rana Zahiri, DO, is a clinical assistant professor of psychiatry. She completed a psychiatry residency at the University of California San Diego and a hospice and palliative care fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine.
