We asked members of the Jacobs School community: “What does Juneteenth mean to you?”
Ifeoma Ezeilo, a student in the medical education program, shares:
“Juneteenth is a day of remembrance but also a day of hope. Hope for the present and for the future of African Americans nationwide. We have a purpose in this world and must continue to fight for our youth in creating change. We remain a critical part in building this nation and in building its future.”
