Our program — accredited by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education — prepares you to assume a leadership role in all areas of addiction medicine, from clinical care to research and education.

We train learners to deliver compassionate and effective evidence-based care to people with substance use disorders and to advocate for this marginalized population.

Medical students at UB lead this clinic serving the needs of women struggling with mental health, substance use, and domestic violence in the context of human trafficking.
