Adelaide and Brendan Griswold Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to one or more medical students with a strong interest in primary care/family medicine and a demonstrated commitment to alleviating health care disparities.

Selection Process

Eligible students will receive an email about this scholarship at the beginning of the academic year.

To apply, you must submit a CV and a personal statement explaining:

  • your interest in primary care or family medicine
  • how your community outreach or work has addressed the problem of health care disparities

A panel of physicians, professors and professionals with backgrounds in primary care and medical student training will select the awardee(s).

Notification

If you are selected as a scholarship recipient, we’ll notify you by letter.

Recognition

If you receive this scholarship, you will be recognized during our annual Honors Convocation.

Kim Griswold, MD, is an associate professor of family medicine and a 1994 graduate of our medical school. She endowed a scholarship in her parents’ names to honor the sacrifices they made for her.
