Cleve Hill Dialysis Center.

As a fellow in our program, you’ll find that our Cleve Hill Dialysis Center site gives you valuable experience assessing chronic hemodialysis patients and reviewing routine laboratory examinations on chronic ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients.

Cleve Hill Dialysis Center is where you’ll learn how to manage issues that occur during dialysis and deepen your understanding of:

  • chronic hemodialysis
  • evaluation of chronic hemodialysis vascular access
  • peritoneal dialysis
  • management of peritoneal catheters

You can expect to attend dialysis patient care meetings at this site. You’ll have additional opportunities to learn by collaborating with dialysis nurses, social workers and dietitians.

Peritoneal Dialysis Clinic

Our faculty will supervise you while you attend peritoneal dialysis clinic at our Cleve Hill Dialysis Center site. Patients come to this clinic for their monthly visit, giving you opportunities to make decisions about their treatment and learn about:

  • evaluating adequacy of dialysis
  • managing complications of end-stage renal disease — including anemia, bone disease, nutrition

Expect to see three to four patients during each clinic.

The center is also equipped to offer:

  • peritoneal dialysis
  • home hemodialysis training for patients

Patient Population

At this site, you’ll see outpatient hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis patients with conditions including:

  • chronic kidney disease
  • glomerulonephritis
  • acute renal failure
