“Lucy Campbell is a faculty member who has been heavily involved in the teaching of our students for years and was a very enthusiastic, unanimous selection for this award,” said Anne B. Curtis, MD, chair of the Department of Medicine, who presented the award.

The Berkson Award recognizes excellent patient care and teaching by a volunteer physician specializing in internal medicine. Berkson was a Buffalo internist and alumnus of the school who was actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.

Campbell received the award at the June 8 faculty staff recognition ceremony.
