SNAC Presents: "Nutrition and Cancer: Dietary Interventions During Treatments"

An educational event for cancer patients to learn how to integrate special diets while receiving treatments. Specific clinical trials will be presented. 

Overview

Participating in this research might improve the effectiveness of your treatments and reduce the side effects linked to cancer treatments. To help you follow the Dietary interventions and maximize the effectiveness of the dietary changes, participants will:

  • Be followed by a Registered Dietitian
  • Receive dietary infographics
  • Receive menus and recipes for delicious meals
  • Given Nutrition advice
  • Dietary Check-ins for a more holistic approach to your cancer treatment

Study 1: Determines if patients on chemotherapy do better if they moderate their eating and follow a plant-based diet

Study 2: Focuses on whether lower protein intake helps boost the immune system

Eligibility

Patients who are starting, or are currently undergoing chemotherapy or immune therapies for ANY type of cancer.
