Clinical Training Sites

Our community partners include five of the greater Buffalo area’s major hospitals that serve as your training sites — where you will gain experience treating a wide-ranging patient base in a variety of clinical settings.

  • Buffalo General Medical Center

    Located on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Buffalo General Medical Center offers a wide spectrum of clinical inpatient and outpatient treatment programs.
  • Buffalo VA Medical Center

    This 100-bed, 1.4 million-square-foot facility provides medical, surgical, mental health, long-term and outpatient care.
  • Erie County Medical Center

    This 583-bed medical center is one of the area’s leading health care providers. It serves as a regional center for trauma, burns, rehabilitation and cardiac care and is the region’s largest safety-net hospital.
  • Oishei Children’s Hospital
    5/21/19
    You will rotate on inpatient pediatric wards here, the neonatal intensive care unit, the newborn nursery and the emergency room. Your adolescent medicine and behavior and development rotations will take place here as well, and this site also hosts electives.
  • Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center
    5/21/19
    This world-class center for cancer research and treatment provides you a window into care and clinical research at the forefront of hematology and oncology.
  • Continuity Clinics
    11/9/23
    You will see patients once per week or several sessions per week during ambulatory block time at an assigned med-peds continuity clinic, where you will manage your own patients, supervised by faculty, throughout your training.
