The Division of Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine provides the evaluation, diagnosis and management of pediatric lung diseases.
We have been actively involved in clinical research for more than two decades, focused primarily on cystic fibrosis. Our physicians regularly publish their work in scholarly journals, and our ancillary care providers are regular participants in national meetings. Our research coordinator is certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.
The success of multidisciplinary care at the Cystic Fibrosis Center is reflected in its clinical outcomes, which are among the best in the country, according to data compiled by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The CF Center is the recipient of a national Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Clinical Research Facilitation Award and Quality Care Award.
Our clinical staff includes pediatric pulmonologists, nurse practitioners, coordinators, a dietitian, respiratory therapists, a social worker, genetic counselors, and a cliinical psychologist with expertise in evaluation and management of pediatric and adult lung diseases (i.e. asthma, chronic cough, wheezing, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, recurrent pneumonia, neuromuscular weakness, and shortness of breath).
