Message from the Program Director

Mark D. Hicar, MD, PhD.

We are so pleased you are interested in our program. At the University at Buffalo, we play to our strengths: a diverse patient population, excellent core faculty and offering maximum flexibility in structuring a fellowship to suit your needs.

We are a relatively young program, with our first fellow matriculating in 2018.  However, in that short time we have successfully placed our fellows into both academic positions and private practice.

On graduation from this fellowship you should expect to have solid grounding in clinical training in general Pediatric Infectious Diseases and to have been provided the tools and a path forward to be become a national expert in your chosen subfield of Pediatric Infectious Diseases.

Thank you once again for your interest, we look forward to working with you!
