Neuroscience Research Day 2025

Buffalo Neuroscience Research Day 2025 will be held Friday, Nov. 7, 2025 at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Preliminary agenda, registration and abstract submission details will be sent out and posted here by late August.

Conference Highlights

The agenda will include:

  • Distinguished Scientist Seminar: Douglas Portman, PhD, University of Rochester. Dr. Portman’s lab uses the nematode C. elegans, a powerful experimental model, to study the relationships between genes, neural circuits and behavior. 
  • Short talks by trainees and new faculty
  • Poster sessions 
  • New for 2025! Neuroscience As Art exhibit. Inspired by UB’s "Art of Research" competition, we will be sending out a call for creative submissions based on graduate and postdoctoral trainees’ original research. The guidelines will be announced soon, and several of the entries will be displayed prominently during the Research Day.
  • Refreshments will be provided throughout the day, and dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
