19 Faculty Members Join 6 Medical School Departments

Nineteen faculty members with clinical and research experience have joined the departments of Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Orthopaedics, Pathology and Anatomical Sciences, Pediatrics, and Physiology and Biophysics.

Remi M. Adelaiye-Ogala, PhD

Remi M. Adelaiye-Ogala, PhD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

Her research focuses on epigenetics, genomics and proteomics.

She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Health’s Center for Cancer Research. Adelaiye-Ogala obtained her doctoral degree in cancer pathology from the University at Buffalo’s Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center Graduate Division.
 

Kedar Aras.

Kedar Aras, PhD

Kedar Aras, PhD, is an assistant professor of physiology and biophysics.

He completed postdoctoral training in cardiac electrophysiology at George Washington University.

Aras received his doctoral degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Utah and a Master of Science degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

He is the recipient of the prestigious NIH K99/R00 Pathway to Independence award and his lab at the Jacobs School will focus on investigating the role of obesity and metabolic syndrome in promoting cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure and sudden cardiac death.  
 

Thomas Dobosz, MD.

Thomas Dobosz, MD

Thomas Dobosz, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

He completed an internal medicine residency at Rush University Medical Center/John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois.

Dobosz received his medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences.


 

Matthew Hudson.

Matthew J. Hudson, MD

Matthew J. Hudson, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

He completed a public health and preventive medicine fellowship at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, from which he also received a master’s degree in public health.

Hudson completed a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

He completed an internal medicine residency at Brown University — Warren Alpert School of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine and received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Jasmyn Miller, MD

Jasmyn Miller, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of medicine.

She completed an internal medicine residency at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo, where she was also chief resident.

She earned her medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Rebeccah Stevens, MD

Rebeccah Stevens, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology.

She completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the Jacobs School of Medicne and Biomedical Sciences, where she also earned her medical degree.
 

 

 

 

Christopher S. Bodden, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

He completed a residency and internship at the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. Bodden received his medical degree from St. George’s University.

Laura E. Easton, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of medicine.

She completed a residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Easton received her medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Kyle S. Miyazaki, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

He completed his residency at the University of Hawaii. Miyazaki received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Amr Abdelradi, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

Jamal Ansari, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of medicine.

Ross F. Cole, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of orthopaedics.

Keith Cross, MD, is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics.

Kimberly L. Jackson, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics.

Mehvish Khan, MBBS, is a clinical assistant professor of medicine.

Ekrem Maloku, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of pathology and anatomical sciences.

Christopher M. Michaeles, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

Robert L. Pollock, MD, is an assistant professor of medicine.

Sarah Sadek, MD, is a clinical assistant professor of medicine.
