The Office of Accreditation and Quality Improvement (OAQI) supports the Jacobs School in achieving and sustaining full accreditation by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.
OAQI envisions a learning environment where data-driven decision-making and collaborative engagement lead to excellence in medical education. To realize this vision, the office is committed to goals such as maintaining compliance with accreditation standards, promoting transparency in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting strategic planning efforts across the school.
OAQI collaborates with departments and administrative units to assess and enhance policies, processes, and outcomes, ensuring that the educational environment remains responsive to the evolving needs of students, faculty, and the broader medical community. It provides administrative support for accreditation-related activities and leverages data analytics to inform institutional decision-making.
Through initiatives like continuous quality improvement (CQI) and feedback-driven enhancements, OAQI ensures that the Jacobs School remains at the forefront of medical education innovation. This commitment to excellence helps prepare students not only to become competent physicians but also lifelong learners who can adapt to the ever-changing landscape of healthcare.
