Clinical

Dr. Berga is in a clinical setting.

We aim to develop models of care across the continuum that address health disparities, access and cost of care in our region. Why? Because clinical excellence and community health are of utmost importance to us.

Two groups — headed by expert Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences clinicians — are involved in the strategic planning:

Hospital.
Service Lines/Hospital System Collaboration Group

Part of our strategic plan involves reinvesting in clinical service lines to differentiate ourselves, standardize evidence-based care and add value.

Treatment.
New Models of Care/Reimbursement/Patient Care Group

New care models can ensure a step change in quality of care, access to services and efficiency. That’s why we are exploring ways that health care systems can deliver high-quality, accessible, affordable care via transforming the model of care.
