About Us

Preventive medicine residency faculty and students.

In collaboration with the UB School of Public Health and Health Professions, our program is available through a combined, four-year internal medicine-preventive medicine residency.

The internal medicine residency provides the first two years of training, followed by two years of training in preventive medicine, including the academic and practicum phases.

Preventive medicine is among the smallest specialties yet also the most relevant, influential in reach and diverse in the career opportunities open to its practitioners.
In the last five years of our program, 92% of our graduates have passed the American Board of Preventive Medicine (ABPM) examination, with 91% having passed in the overall history of the program.
