UB is one of the premier research-intensive public universities in the country, and we encourage you to explore all of the research resources, collaborations and opportunities we offer.
Research will play a significant role in the academic phase of your residency through either an integrative project in the MPH program or a master’s thesis in the MS program. This work or additional scholarly activities may lead to publication or presentations at local, regional or national meetings.
You will have the opportunity to showcase your research work along with other residents and fellows at the annual Scholarly Exchange Day, a poster presentation and competition sponsored by the UB Office of Graduate Medical Education.
This event will provide you with experience in poster presentation, as well as the opportunity to interact with other UB researchers and alumni. A major component of the day is the structured feedback participants receive on their work from UB research faculty.
