Administrative Staff of the Year

The purpose of the Administrative Staff of the Year Award is to recognize and honor outstanding administrative staff members who play a vital role in the smooth operation and success of the Department of Medicine. This broadly includes administrators in both the academic and clinical setting.

Eligibility

Must have a primary appointment in the Department of Medicine or UBMD Internal Medicine.

Examples of individuals who should be nominated for this award:

  • community and patient services
  • design and consulting

Selection Criteria (preferred qualifications)

Exceptional Administrative Support

  • Provides outstanding performance in managing administrative tasks, including correspondence, data management and office organization
  • Demonstrates proficiency in handling complex administrative processes that support the department’s operations and efficiency
  • Contributes significantly to the achievement of departmental goals through efficient and effective administrative support
  • Works collaboratively with faculty and staff to facilitate departmental projects and initiatives

Effective Communication

  • Exhibits strong communication skills in interactions with faculty, staff and external partners
  • Handles inquiries, resolves issues and facilitates clear and professional communication across all levels of the department

Organizational Skills

  • Displays exceptional organizational abilities, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of administrative functions
  • Manages multiple tasks and priorities effectively, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness
