Mentor of the Year

The purpose of the Mentor of the Year Award is to recognize and honor individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and impact in mentoring others within clinical practice, research or education.

Eligibility

Must have a primary appointment in the Department of Medicine.

Selection Criteria (preferred qualifications)

Active Role in Mentoring

  • Demonstrates a sustained and impactful commitment to mentoring individuals in clinical practice, research or education
  • Engages actively with mentees, providing guidance, support and constructive feedback

Excellence in Mentorship

  • Exhibits outstanding mentorship qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and support the professional development of mentees
  • Creates a positive and encouraging environment that fosters growth and learning

Impact on Mentees’ Career Development

  • Contributes to the personal and professional growth of mentees, helping them achieve their career goals and enhance their skills
  • Receives positive feedback from mentees regarding the effectiveness and impact of their mentorship
