Gynecologic Oncology

Working in a world-renowned cancer research and treatment center that serves patients both regionally and nationally, you will serve as a member of the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center gynecologic oncology team and participate in all aspects of patient care.

The gynecologic oncology service at Roswell Park employs the latest medical and surgical innovations in caring for patients. The facility has an active research program and conducts both basic science as well as clinical research.

Through this intensive training experience, you will learn the evaluation, diagnosis and management of gynecological malignancies.

You will further develop your surgical skills in addition to becoming familiar with chemotherapy and radiation therapies.

We will teach you how to manage medically complicated patients, including those requiring intensive care management.

You will also learn about the psychosocial challenges faced by cancer survivors and the resources available to assist them in their recovery.

Further training in gynecological oncology will occur at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital throughout your four years of training as a component of your general OB-GYN rotations.

At this site, you will work one-on-one with private practice gynecologic oncologists in the surgical and postoperative management of patients cared for by their practice.
