SUNY

SUNY CPD supports a wide range of academic, technical, and leadership professional development opportunities, including conferences, workshops and certificate programs.

A fellowship program providing support for civic education, civil discourse and civic awareness.

A diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice fellowship program providing targeted support for DEISJ curricular matters.

Google and SUNY have partnered to bring SUNY students, faculty and staff free access to Google AI learning opportunities.

Lumen Circles Fellowships provide opportunities to connect with other faculty members as you explore effective instructional practices that support student success and apply them to your own teaching. During these nine-week fellowships, participants engage in weekly activities through an asynchronous, virtual platform. 

The SUNY New Faculty Open Mic Program is designed to support the work of tenure-track colleagues in their first two years. This free peer mentoring program offers an opportunity to talk about vital issues as teachers, scholars and advisors. The Spring 2026 meetings will take place on Zoom every other Monday from 2-3 p.m. starting Feb. 9, 2026 and ending May 4, 2026.

A year-long program that develops leadership and communication skills among mid- and senior-level STEMM faculty. 

Institutional Memberships

The Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences is an institutional member, so faculty can register for a free account to join virtual communities, explore networking opportunities, and learn more about AAMC conferences and leadership development programs.

UB is an institutional member of NCFDD, which offers professional development, training, and mentoring for faculty members, postdocs and graduate students.
