This lecture and workshop series keeps you abreast of the latest trends in family medicine practice and shows you how to apply them in a changing medical environment.

Focus on Patient-Centered Medical Home

With an emphasis on the patient-centered medical home, this two-year series covers population-based planned care, quality improvement, enhanced access, enhanced teamwork and national trends.

We frequently update our content to stay on the cutting edge of advances in practice.

Recent lectures have addressed, among other topics:

  • the chronic care model and planned care
  • how to use registries
  • evidence-based medicine at the point of care
  • health care quality improvement
  • open access
  • group medical visits
  • team communication
  • updates on the Affordable Care Act
  • the changing reimbursement system

In addition to attending lectures, you’ll implement what you’ve learned on-site. Led by a supervising physician and coordinator, you’ll work in small groups with other residents to carry out quality improvement projects and other initiatives.
