Patrick S. Broadwater

Patrick S. Broadwater, director of communications, has an extensive communications background, including more than 20 years in higher education public relations, strategic communications and marketing.

As director of communications, Broadwater provides strategic and forward-thinking leadership for communications and marketing, advances the reputation of the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, develops awareness of the school’s brand, and leads the communications team.  

Prior to coming to the Jacobs School, he worked at the University of Rochester School of Nursing as director of strategic communications.

Broadwater previously held positions at the University at Buffalo as a senior copywriter and editor focused on admissions communications.    

He received a bachelor’s degree in English from Allegheny College.
