Our robust research enterprise has the potential to develop information systems that expand knowledge in the biomedical sciences and enhance health care processes.
From developing biomedical ontologies to designing clinical information systems, we conduct studies that provide the data infrastructure necessary to perform translational and clinical genomic research more efficiently.
We use a high-throughput phenotyping system to rapidly assign ontology terms to available content or an input expression from a subject matter expert or potential trial participant.
We accelerate scientific discovery and innovation by leveraging advanced cyberinfrastructures that enable fast, accurate exploration of large-scale biological and biomedical data.
Our school’s shared core instrumentation and transgenic animal facilities support research by UB faculty and investigators at our affiliated institutions. These facilities not only house state-of-the-art equipment but in many cases also provide data analysis, training and grant writing consultation.
