At our outpatient GI office in Amherst, you'll learn from specialists who take a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to treating disorders of the digestive system.

Training

Supervised by our board-certified gastroenterologists, you will build a solid base of knowledge about innovative, cutting-edge diagnostics and therapeutics. 

Our outpatient GI training site enables you to increase your knowledge and skills in areas such as:

  • capsule endoscopy
  • care of patients with malabsorption and nutritional disorders
  • colon cancer screening
  • hydrogen breath tests
  • investigation of gastrointestinal motility disturbances
  • management of nutrition support
  • women's gastrointestinal health

Gain Experience in a Continuity Clinic

You'll follow a panel of patients on an ongoing basis at our outpatient GI training site. Here, you'll gain valuable experience providing longitudinal outpatient care.

Patient Population

You can expect to see patients with a broad range of conditions, including:

  • Barrett's esophagus
  • celiac disease and food intolerance
  • Crohn's disease
  • gastroesophageal reflux disease
  • heartburn
  • inflammatory bowel disease
  • irritable bowel syndrome
  • ulcerative colitis
