Onconephrology Track

Our onconephrology sub track gives interested fellows the opportunity to experience and learn onconephrology at the Roswell Park Cancer Center, the region’s dedicated cancer center. Our fellows not only learn and manage the renal toxicities of conventional chemotherapies, but also the renal manifestations of newer therapies like CAR-T cell therapies, check point inhibitor related renal damage, amyloidosis and myeloma associated kidney damage.

Being a key research center, there are plenty of opportunities for research at Roswell Park for our fellows choosing this subtrack. Fellows graduating from this track will qualify for a certificate attesting their training in onconephrology and will be ready to pursue a career in onconephrology.

Transplant Track

We have the area’s premier transplantation center located at the Erie County Medical Center. Our center is reputed for one of the shortest wait times in the nation.

For our fellows who want to pursue a career in kidney transplantation, our subtrack offers an in-depth experience in renal transplantation and immunology. Our transplant experience included transplant pathology, in depth immunology learning, living donor assessments, research with senior faculty. Our fellows in the transplant subtrack will spend more than the three required months with the transplant service and get ready for their year of transplant fellowship after graduation from our program.
