You will engage with communities within and around the University at Buffalo, helping to mobilize community partnerships to identify and solve health problems.
Our former residents have made positive impacts on the community by:
Providing care and preventive health services at Jericho Road Family Practice, a federally qualified health center
Developing surveys and facilitating focus groups for community health assessments with local departments of health and American Indian communities in the region
Conducting outbreak investigations with local and state departments of health
Empowering local neighborhoods through community-based participatory work with the UB Office of Public Health Practice
Participating in local health fairs, including healthy cooking demos at the annual UB Care Fair
Supporting medical trainee resilience through planning wellness programming for residents with the UB Residents Committee
Advocating with local organizations such as the American Cancer Society
