The Gorzynski Travel Award supports a PhD or MD/PhD student who is traveling to a national or international meeting to present a research paper or poster.
You must have been formally accepted as a presenter at a research meeting. You also must be in good academic standing in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
Based on past considerations, we will take into account the size and scope of the meeting as well as the form of your presentation (talk versus poster).
Your faculty mentor may nominate you for this award.
If you are selected for the Gorzynski award, we’ll notify you with a letter.
If you receive this award, we will recognize you at the Buffalo Conference on Microbial Pathogenesis.
Eugene Gorzynski, PhD, a former student and faculty member of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, was a popular teacher and respected researcher.
