Case Presentations

Throughout your fellowship training, our case conference will cover a variety of complex legal cases.

You’ll select a case with diagnostic or treatment challenges, and you’ll present it to faculty in our division or general psychiatry faculty.

You can expect faculty members to provide feedback and engage you in in-depth discussion about legal opinions and the case you select. These discussions will enable you to see possible weaknesses in your professional opinion and can help you refine it before submitting it to the referral source or prior to testifying.

As an alternative to presenting a case, you have the option of presenting a current journal article relevant to forensic psychiatry and facilitating discussion about it.
