Positions

For 2025-26, we have two positions in our Developmental Track, and three positions in our Substance Use Track. Applicants may only apply to one track. 

Our internship year runs from July 1 to June 30 on a full-time basis. You’re provided a stipend of $35,000 and standard benefits.

Internship Qualifications

You must be matriculated in a PhD or PsyD program in clinical, counseling or school psychology.

Our applicants must also demonstrate adequate preparation for internship as indicated by their credentials and their graduate training director’s endorsement.

Deadline

The application deadline is November 22, 2024.

Application Requirements

The Psychology Doctoral Internship at the University at Buffalo abides by all APPIC policies regarding application and notification procedures. All applicants must complete the online APPIC Application for Psychology Internship.

The formal online application must be completed by November 22, 2024 and should include:

  • APPIC Application for Psychology Internship (AAPI), available at the APPIC website
  • Confirmation of practicum training with a minimum of 500 direct hours
  • Two letters of recommendation from sources with direct knowledge of clinical experiences and abilities
  • Official transcripts detailing completed course and training
  • Current academic vita

Interviews

After applications are reviewed, potential candidates will be contacted to interview. All interviews will continue to be conducted virtually, as our program makes ongoing efforts to enhance equity and accessibility.
