Get an early start on your specialty in child and adolescent psychiatry through this concentrated residency track.
If you have an interest in entering child and adolescent psychiatry after residency, you may opt for our specialized track in the field.
This track permits you to complete up to four months of your primary care requirements in pediatrics and to take one of your two months of neurology in child neurology. You can complete all of your residency requirements in both general and child and adolescent psychiatry in five years. You will have opportunities to treat children and adolescent patients beginning in your PGY-2 year.
Your residency mentor and psychotherapy supervisors are members of our well-established child psychiatry faculty, and you will be included in events and lectures offered by our child and adolescent psychiatry training program. You can get a head start on a research project to pursue during a fellowship and enjoy a greater continuity of training in this rewarding, multidisciplinary field.
Apply for this track when you apply to the general psychiatry program via ERAS.
