From conducting physical exams to developing procedural proficiency, we cover the full range of skills you need to care for patients requiring ambulatory surgery.

Procedures Learned

You’ll learn how to perform:

  • abscess incisions and drainage
  • lipoma resections
  • simple skin excisions
  • wound debridement

Conditions Seen

Conditions commonly seen during this rotation are:

  • breast disease
  • head and neck masses
  • peripheral vascular disease
  • skin malignancy
  • thyroid nodules
  • traumatic wounds
  • venous stasis, including ulcers
