Cardiology

During this rotation, you’ll work one-on-one with patients in a private cardiology practice and perform a variety of cardiac tests and techniques, including stress tests.

This rotation helps you understand the indications of and contraindications for coronary artery bypass, stent placement and other cardiac therapeutic interventions.

You’ll conduct physical exams focused on the cardiovascular system, learn how to interpret lab results, understand the risk factors for coronary artery disease and interventions to correct it.

We’ll teach you diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for a range of cardiac conditions, and you’ll become adept at performing and interpreting EKGs.
