Celebrating the Contributions of Our Physicians on National Doctors’ Day

Published March 30, 2023

Today, as we join health care organizations across the country in observing National Doctors’ Day, I want to thank our faculty, students, residents, fellows, the UBMD Physicians’ Group, and hospital partners for their commitment to this rewarding profession. Their work is integral in improving the quality of life for individuals in our Western New York community and around the world

From the first breath to the final hours, our lives are intertwined with physicians’ passion to make a difference through high-quality health care and transformational advancements.

Doctors save lives. They make a difference by diagnosing conditions, seeking paths to recovery, advancing medical education and developing critical solutions to health care challenges through groundbreaking research.

As a leading academic health and research center, the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo is truly shaping the future of health care, innovation and discovery.

I hope each of you, whether you are a doctor or know a doctor, will join me in thanking them for their remarkable work, day and night, for their selfless service, and for being role models to the next generation.

Sincerely,

Allison Brashear, MD, MBA
