Published February 20, 2024

Dear Jacobs School Community –

As we enter Thank a Resident & Fellow Appreciation Week, I encourage you to join me in acknowledging the incredible contributions of more than 850 dedicated residents and fellows.

They aren't just future leaders in health care; they are integral members of our team today, providing exceptional patient care, offering crucial support to families, and serving as invaluable mentors and resources for our medical students.

Residency and fellowship programs can be demanding journeys, requiring immense dedication and perseverance. Yet, our residents and fellows consistently go above and beyond, demonstrating commitment, exceptional skills, and compassionate spirit. Their contributions positively impact countless lives on a daily basis.

Throughout this week, I encourage you to take a moment to express your appreciation to these remarkable individuals. A simple "thank you," a kind word or a thoughtful gesture can go a long way in recognizing their dedication and the vital role they play in our community.

Remember, their hard work and passion shape the future of health care, and we are incredibly proud to have them as part of the Jacobs School family.

Let's join together to make this a week filled with gratitude and appreciation for our incredible residents and fellows. They deserve our recognition and admiration for their dedication, excellence, and compassion.

With sincere gratitude,
