The Jacobs School of Medicine is launching two critical leadership searches for the chairs of the Department of Otolaryngology and Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences. These searches are essential to maintain the departments' momentum and build upon the strong foundations established by the outgoing chairs, David A. Sherris, MD, and John E. Tomaszewski, MD.
WittKieffer, the executive search and leadership advisory firm, will assist us in these searches.

- Robert F. McCormack, MD, EMBA '14. Dr. McCormack, associate dean for ambulatory strategy and chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, will lead the search committee for the chair of Otolaryngology.
- Anne Marie Reynolds, MD '88, MPH '07. Executive vice chair of pediatrics, division chief of neonatology; clinical associate professor.
- Michael Beecher, MD '96. Chief medical officer of Buffalo General Medical.
- Jeffrey J. Brewer, MD '05. Clinical associate professor and vice chair of the Department of Surgery; associate program director general surgery residency program
- Mark L. Nagy, MD '90. Clinical associate professor of otolaryngology.
- Samuel D. Cloud, DO. Assistant clinical professor of emergency medicine; chief medical officer of Erie County Medical Center.
- Robin B. Lazar-Miller, MD '76. Program director of otolaryngology.
- Roberto Pili, MD. Associate dean for cancer research and integrative oncology; professor and chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine; vice president of oncology services at Great Lake Cancer Care.

- Marc Halterman, MD, PhD. Dr. Halterman, senior associate dean and executive director for the Office of Biomedical Research, will lead the search committee for the chair of pathology.
- Barbara Rita Alevriadou, PhD. SUNY Empire Innovation professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering; director of the vascular mechanobiology laboratory; adjunct professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.

- Elizabeth Wohlfert, PhD. Associate professor of microbiology and immunology; vice chair education and director of graduate studies.
- Gustavo Arrizabalaga, PhD. Senior associate dean for faculty affairs; professor of microbiology and immunology.
- Frank Chen, MD. Clinical associate professor of pathology and anatomical sciences.
- Scott T. Doyle, PhD. Associate professor of pathology and anatomical sciences.
- Liise K. Kayler, MD. Clinical professor of surgery; program director of kidney and pancreas transplantation; chief of the Division of Transplant Surgery.
- Sanjay Sethi, MD. Professor and chief of pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine; assistant vice president for health sciences.

Pletnikov, MD, PhD, professor and chair of the Department of Physiology and Biophysics have agreed to co-chair this search committee which is currently being formed. In the meantime, we have engaged the services of Spencer Stuart for this search and candidate nominations may be forwarded to Christian Myers in their office.
