This award recognizes a medical student who demonstrates dedication to patients with limited access to primary care services.

Selection Process

A departmental committee recommends nominees and asks each to submit a personal statement and CV. The committee solicits feedback on the nominees from family medicine faculty and staff.

Based on this information, leaders within the Erie County Chapter of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians select the award recipient(s).

Note: The decision to recommend nominees to the chapter is left to the discretion of the departmental committee. Therefore, the award may not be given every year.

Notification

The Office of Medical Education will notify you by email if you are an award recipient.

Recognition

If you receive this award, you will be recognized during our annual Honors Convocation.
